Stockholm June 2018
I flew from Newark to Stockholm in mid June. After a 2 hour nap, I grabbed my camera and headed out. It was a gorgeous summer day! The skies were partly cloudy with the temperature in the mid 70’s; a little windy though with gusts up to 30 mph.
Here is a map depicting my route (click on the map to view it full size). I left the Sheraton (shown in the upper left of the map) and walked to the VASA Museum (on the right side of the map) and then walked to the Royal Palace in Old Town. I had dinner in Old Town and then returned to my hotel. All told, I was gone about 6 hours.

Vasa. The Vasa Museum. A fascinating story. The ship sank after travelling 1300 meters on it’s maiden voyage. You can read the history here: https://www.vasamuseet.se/vasas-historia/olyckan

I headed over to Old Town after visiting the Vasa Museum. This is a picture of the Royal Palace. You can read more about it here: https://www.kungligaslotten.se/vara-besoksmal/kungliga-slottet.html

I found a restaurant at the end of this alley and after a wonderful dinner headed back to the hotel.
Rob these were great!!! I loved the ship stern with all that detailed carving. The church was absolutely beautiful.
Thanks! I appreciate the comment.
