I arrived in Edinburgh at 8:00 am on July 5th, 2016.  Following a short nap, I grabbed my camera gear and headed out.  The temperature was in the high 50’s with a light rain falling.

The following map shows my route:

I left the hotel and headed towards the Edinburgh Castle and then followed High Street (also known as the Royal Mile) to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.  I then entered Holyrood Park and began the climb to Arthur’s Seat.

Heading up the trail towards Arthur’s Seat.  That’s the peak at the top of the picture. Yes, it was slippery….and steep.  The following link describes Arthur’s Seat: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arthur%27s_Seat

I then climbed down and followed the same route back to the hotel.
