I left Chicago 6:25 pm August 2, 2015 and arrived in Amsterdam 9:49 am local time. The weather was clear with the temperature in the low 60’s.
I took a nap as soon as I got to the hotel. After waking, I grabbed my camera gear and backpack and headed out.
I left Chicago September 16, 2014 at 6:25 pm central time and arrived in Paris Charles de Gaulle at 9:31 Paris time on the morning of September 17, 2014.
On the flight over, I couldn’t help but notice the full moon. When I got to my room, I glanced at the “LightTrac” app on my Ipad and noticed that the moon would be aligned with the Jardins du Trocadero and the Eiffel Tower around 10:00 pm that night. A plan began forming and I knew I wanted to be at the Trocadero in time to get set up by 10:00. I then took a nap.
I woke up around 3:00 pm and gathered my camera, tripod, spare batteries, and maps into my backpack and headed out.
I haven’t made any posts in awhile, so I’m going to start posting details from layovers where I take photographs. I’m starting with this trip to London in August, 2014.
Some of the maps are small, so just click on the map, or any photo for that matter, to see a full size version.
I departed Newark at 6:30 pm on August 13, 2014 and arrived in London near 7:00 am the following morning.
The purpose of this trip was to capture Fall colors in North Carolina. We were hoping to capitalize on our scouting trip earlier in the year (see “Asheville, North Carolina May 4 – May 8, 2013”). The “leaves” reports from North Carolina indicated we might be a few days early, but due to scheduling constraints we went anyway.
