I left Chicago 6:25 pm August 2, 2015 and arrived in Amsterdam 9:49 am local time. The weather was clear with the temperature in the low 60’s.

I took a nap as soon as I got to the hotel. After waking, I grabbed my camera gear and backpack and headed out.

This map gives an overview of where I went. I headed for Vondelpark (southwest corner of the map) after leaving the hotel.

Amsterdam is one of the most beautiful cities I’ve seen. I love the architecture, canals, and bicycles.

I left Vondelpark heading back to my hotel where I had dinner. My plan was to wake up early and take some night shots around the hotel.  Waking up at 3:00 am, I grabbed my camera gear and headed back out. I walked the short distance to Amsterdam Centraal and took the following pictures:

I then returned to the hotel and went back to bed.  We left Amsterdam near 11:30 am local and headed back to Chicago.
